Dr. Umakanta Mahapatra is a Consultant Endocrinologist in West Bengal. He obtained his MBBS, DCH and MD (General Medicine) degrees from the University of Calcutta. He completed his DM (Endocrinology) under Prof. Satinath Mukhopadhyay at the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (IPGME&R), Kolkata.

His academic inclination prompted Dr. Mahapatra to join the Department of Medicine at Midnapore Medical College, under the West Bengal Medical Education Service (WBMES), in 2010.

Dr. Umakanta Mahapatra is attached to AMRI Institute of Diabetes & Hormonal Disorders located at Dhakuria in Kolkata. He can also be consulted at Uposam Clinic in Egra and Suraksha Clinic in Midnapore, by prior appointment.
